It traces the history and divergence of feminist traditions, men’s liberation and other men’s movements, men’s-rights politics, anti-feminism, and the manosphere; then tests competing claims against U.S. evidence on education, health, work, violence, criminal justice, parenthood, loneliness, and sexuality before developing a framework of reciprocal emancipation without turning one sex’s freedom into the other’s defeat.
